Happy Nurses Week – Thank you from the NurSearch Team

To our NurSearch community,

Every year, National Nurses Week begins on May 6th and concludes on May 12th, the birthday of Florence Nightingale. The founder of modern nursing, Nightingale’s commitment to basic care revolutionized healing. At the time, her ideas were profoundly innovative. In little over a century, her ideas transformed a worldwide profession.

The amount of relief and comfort experienced by the sick after the skin has been carefully washed and dried, is one of the commonest observations made at a sick bed. – Florence Nightingale

There are over three million nurses in the United States and the need for nursing care increases every year. Throughout the country, employers spend time this week recognizing nurses for their contributions. At NurSearch, we are grateful for your contributions not only this week – but every single day. If every nurse stopped working for five minutes, the world would stop spinning.

We want to extend a special thank you to our NurSearch community for following Nightingales footsteps and innovating in the art of nursing. In just one year, we have created a new pathway for nurses to connect with those in need.

So never lose an opportunity of urging a practical beginning, however small, for it is wonderful how often in such matters the seed germinates and roots itself. – Florence Nightingale

On behalf of the entire NurSearch team, a sincere thank you to our nursing community.

Happy nursing,
